Anathallo, with 8 members, is like a marching band without the marching part. They use a vast assortment of instruments to create their sound. Their album, Floating World is a mixture of hauntingly ambient sounds that can make your mind space out and start daydreaming. Most of the songs on this album contain a very operatic chorus like feel. Although Anathallo is very mellow and melodic, they are also whimsical.
To be honest you will be able to appreciate this album much more if you see Anathallo live. Their concert was an intriguing spectacle. We applaud them for stepping outside the box and taking a different approach to music making. Brava!
