Looks like it’s the “best of” time of the year everywhere. Last.fm put up their lists this week, based on plays by last.fm scrobblers. It’s on us folks, we listened, and they watched us. Here’s what we scrobblers said with our ears, not our mouths:

Best Artists of ’08
Artists gracing the top 10, due to our listening habits include: Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Bon Iver, Foals, and at #1 MGMT. Check out the full list here.

Best Albums of ’08
Ok, so we can be forgiven for some of our folly in listens (I’m talking to you Katy Perry listeners), but albums should have less whimsical base, right? Here’s a few that made the top 10: Sigur Ros - Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, Death Cab For Cutie – Narrow Stairs, Portishead – Third, And at #1 Coldplay – Viva La Vida. See the full list here.

Best Tracks of ’08
Well, Coldplay and MGMT basically owned this one with several tracks from their albums Viva La Vida and Oracular Spectacular, respectiveley and a wee bit of “I Kissed A Girl” from Katy Perry in there. #1 went to Viva La Vida by Coldplay. View the full list here.

While none of my favorites really got in there I was happy to see Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Bon Iver, Foals and Fleet Foxes in the lists. Better luck next year!
