Fake Shark Real Zombie Set To Release Digital EP, Angel Lust on January 9th
The Vancouver based Quartet (which takes its name from a scene in Lucio Fulci’s 1979 movie Zombie II) has found success touring outside of North America in places like Asia and the UK, and especially Japan, where their debut album, Zebra! Zebra!, was released by Vinyl Junkie Records in 2007. They are now looking to build on that success and increase their audience throughout Canada and the US.
The group’s sound has earned it opening slots for acts like Mindless Self Indulgence, The Klaxons, Test Icicles and Genghis Tron, where Fake Shark’s polarizing show leaves audiences asking whether they’ve just witnessed the saviors of new millennium rock or if they should call a lawyer. Fake Shark Real Zombie has gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries during their live shows. From becoming aggressive with their own equipment to engaging in fistfights with audience members, Fake Shark Real Zombie performances are anything but tame.
