The Gourds are an American alternative country band who formed in Austin, Texas in 1994.
Despite having a substantial amount of original material, The Gourds caused a lot of eyebrows to raise with a song that they didn’t even write. About twelve years after the song’s live debut, fans are still calling out for the band’s cover version of Snoop Dogg’s “Gin and Juice.” The Gourds continue to play Gin & Juice during their sets, as it is a crowd pleaser.
I for one think this cover is The Bees Knees.
