Washington band Desolation Wilderness started in 2005 as a solo project for Nicolas Zwart. He recorded his first album, ‘White Light Strobing’ in 2008, and while Zwart performed most of the material himself (singing, guitar, vibraphone and synth), it was the help of some friends that brought the album to fruition. Destination Wilderness now consists of Andrew Dorsett, Ben Kapp, Shelby Turner and Zwart.
The band recently recorded two new songs, as a 7” single titled ‘No Tomorrow’. This 7’’ serves as an introduction to their forthcoming full-length album ‘New Universe’, which is due out in August via K Records.
