State Radio-Let It GoIn the midst of an extensive touring schedule, State Radio spent time in their home state of Massachusetts with producer Dom Monks to record their third studio album. Their forthcoming album, ‘Let It Go’, is set for a September 29th release date via Ruff Shod records. ‘Let It Go’ was recorded live to tape, with the intention of combining the trio’s penchant for storytelling with their live setting rawness.

State Radio has been a staple in my music diet ever since I was introduced to their album, ‘Year of The Crow’ a couple years back. I adore the substance in their messages and the sound it comes wrapped in.

Although the band definitely has a signature sound, due in part to Chadwick’s distinctive voice, they remain versatile while loosely roaming around the borders of rock, reggae and ska. State Radio has already given away a couple of tracks (’Evolution’ and ‘Knights Of Bostonia’) from their upcoming album ‘Let It Go’, and the track ‘Knights of Bostonia’ surprised me because it’s a bit more garage punk than their previous tunes.
