Music Snitch

Hot Chip will be playing a MySpace Secret Show in New York City @ Highline Ballroom on Friday, February 5th in celebration of their forthcoming album, “One Life Stand” (Feb. 9th via Astralwerks). The Philadelphia-based quintet Free Energy is slatted to open the show.

Doors for this all-ages event will open at 7 p.m. and entry will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, MySpace Music will be streaming the concert LIVE in partnership with Livestream via Hot Chip’s official MySpace music page beginning at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST.

The record label Astralwerks teamed up with international relief organization War Child, in order to create, War Child Heroes Vol. 1. This album features musical artists Beck, Hold Steady, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Elbow…plus many more. War Child is a network of independent organizations dedicated to helping children in regions affected by war. This charity compilation will be available on February 24^th (In the US).
