Sleigh Bells‘ debut LP, ‘Treats’, was digitally released yesterday, and there’s a full album stream over at NPR (for a limited time).

Treats’ physical release is set for June 22nd via Mom + Pop and N.E.E.T.

The first time I heard Sleigh Bells, I thought something was wrong with my speakers, but after some trouble shooting it was apparent that their music was intended to sound like you are standing right in front the speakers at a concert. The duo consisting of Derek Miller, former guitar player from Florida’s hardcore, ‘Poison The Well’, and Alexis Krauss are certainly thinking outside of the box with their approach. I am completely fascinated with Sleigh Bells at the moment, because their rattled tunes sound like a distorted crossbreed of Krump inspiring beats and alternative pop anthems.
