I’m so happy that Pitchfork posted all of these links in one place, I mean someone had to.  With new music coming out from Broken Bells, The Besnard Lakes, Titus Andronicus and The Morning Benders (to name a few), next week’s ‘New Release Tuesday’ is going to be a doozy!

- Broken Bells: Broken Bells
- Gorillaz: Plastic Beach

- Titus Andronicus: The Monitor

- Liars: Sisterworld

- Frightened Rabbit: The Winter of Mixed Drinks

- Free Energy: Stuck on Nothing

- The Morning Benders: Big Echo

- The Besnard Lakes: The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night

The-Besnard-LakesMontreal’s husband and wife fronted group, The Besnard Lakes, just offered up the first single from their forthcoming album, ‘The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night’, which is due out on March 9th via Jagjaguwar.  The track, “Albatross”, is sublimely moody and euphonic, even in the moments when the lyrics stop and the music stands alone.  I can absolutely see why Mark Ruffalo (or his music sup) chose Besnard Lakes to score his new Sundance accepted film, “Sympathy For Delicious”.

“Albatross”, will also be released as a 12” single on Feb 9th with an exclusive b-side, “Four Long Lines”.
