The Octopus Project recently released the track, “Fuguefat”, as the first single from their forthcoming album, ‘Hexadecagon’, which is due out on October 26th via Peek-A-Boo.  The band is also about to head out on tour, and apparently they have some pretty cool Wiley Wiggins visuals to go along with their new tunes.

the-octopus-projectAustin based foursome, The Octopus Project, is set to release their forthcoming EP ‘Golden Beds’ on July 14th via Peek-A-Boo Records. ‘Golden Beds’ is the follow-up to their 2007 full-length ‘Hello, Avalanche’, which includes the crowd favorite, ‘Truck’. This is an enhanced EP, which means that unlike batteries, videos will be included. Octopus Project will also be reissuing their first two albums, ‘One Ten Hundred Thousand Million’ and ‘Identification Parade’, on vinyl sometime this summer.

The members of The Octopus Project, Josh Lambert, Yvonne Lambert, Toto Miranda, and Ryan Figg have been playing together for about ten years now and apparently have an amazing, must-see live show.

The band will be touring extensively in support of the ‘Golden Beds’ EP, including a 4th of July performance at Stubb’s Outdoor Theater with Explosions in the Sky and The Wooden Birds. The Octopus Project will also be making a few non-traditional appearances where they will perform “Visual Music” or a unique multimedia experience.
