After their performances at SXSW, Minus The Bear will head out on a spring tour of the states that just so happens to conclude in their home state of Washington at The Sasquatch Music Festival.   The band is also giving away ‘Omni’s’ first single, “My Time”, for the small price of your email address, here.

Minus The Bear’s forthcoming album, ‘Omni’, will hit stores on May 4th via Dangerbird Records.

Free Energy’s delightfully smooth and catchy b-side track, “Something In Common”, got me looking forward to their debut album, ‘Stuck On Nothing’, which is due out March 9th via DFA/Astralwerks.  In support of their forthcoming album, Free Energy released a new single, “Hope Child”, along with upcoming tour dates.

The Wild Beasts have toured the UK and most recently Australia, but now for the first time, they are setting their sights on North America.

Hot Chip will be playing a MySpace Secret Show in New York City @ Highline Ballroom on Friday, February 5th in celebration of their forthcoming album, “One Life Stand” (Feb. 9th via Astralwerks). The Philadelphia-based quintet Free Energy is slatted to open the show.

Doors for this all-ages event will open at 7 p.m. and entry will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, MySpace Music will be streaming the concert LIVE in partnership with Livestream via Hot Chip’s official MySpace music page beginning at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST.

The Canadian pop outfit, You Say Party! We Say Die!, is set to release their forthcoming album, ‘XXXX’, on February 9th via Paper Bag Records. And in support of their new album, the band will be touring the states; playing a couple of select shows with Phoenix and Tokyo Police Club/Wintersleep along the way.

One of the most esoteric music makers of 2009, jj, has joined Secretly Canadian to release their forthcoming full-length, ‘jj nº 3′, on March 9th (US release) in conjunction with their Scandinavian label, Sincerely Yours.

For those of you, like myself, who are idiotically curious about this band/group, you can catch jj during their first stateside tour this spring with The xx.

It looks like Bear In Heaven is going to start the new year out on a tour bus, and they’re bringing along some pretty cool company.  Bear In Heaven will be playing some shows with Freelance Whales and Cymbals Eat Guitars while traveling the states (couple Canada stops).
