One-time bandmates in cLOUDDEAD,  members of Themselves and WHY? recently teamed up to record the track “Canada,” which features the inside-voices of Doseone and Yoni Wolf

WHY?’s album, ‘Eskimo Snow,’ will be released on September 22th, and Themselves’ album, ‘CrownsDown,’ will be released on October 20th.

I never really know what to expect from Why?…their music is hit or miss with me. I adore ‘The Hollows’ but wasn’t a huge fan of their last album, ‘Alopecia’.

Why? is getting set to release their latest album, ‘Eskimo Snow’, on September 22nd via Anticon records. Apparently the forthcoming album was recorded during the same sessions that produced Why?’s ‘Alopecia’ (2008).

Lead singer Yoni Wolf noted that ‘Eskimo Snow’ was light on the “hip-hop”, and I believe him after hearing the album’s first single, ‘The Blackest Purse’.  If this was the first track you ever heard from Why?, you probably wouldn’t guess the band has a proclivity for indie, pop rap.
